The Osceola County Expressway Authority (OCX) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study that is evaluating corridors for the extension of the Osceola Parkway from west of Boggy Creek Road to the proposed Northeast Connector Expressway. The study also includes the Boggy Creek Road/SR 417 Access Road. The purpose of this PD&E Study is to respond to future travel demand, promote system linkage/network connectivity, and enhance overall traffic operations within the study area.
In 2012 a Preliminary Feasibility Study was completed that evaluated feasible corridors that extend Osceola Parkway to the Northeast District. As part of the Preliminary Feasibility Study, several corridors were evaluated within the Corridor Evaluation Area. Based on this study, OCX prefers a corridor that is located near the Orange County and Osceola County line. Before we start the PD&E Study, OCX would like to hear your thoughts regarding a suitable corridor.
